Since having founded asimi in 2009, I supervised numerous clients at national and international levels. Here, my areas of responsibility reached from project leadership to the temporary adoption of line functions. I would like to introduce to you an excerpt from my experience.

Role: Interim Head Logistics
In this project I took over the operational management of the logistics team in a difficult situation, after the team previously had to manage without a professional head of department for almost half a year. This line position thereby also included Customer Service Domestic and Export, Demand Management and Logistics Contract Management, as well as the management of external logistics service providers. Together we were able to optimize the processes in Forecasting with the partial implementation of S&OP. I also supported the project team in the use of process management tools and the introduction of SCOR in logistics.

With SBB AG I took over the disciplinary and functional management of the local procurement team. It was also part of this project to continue building up the department of operative purchasing and materials management. Supplier management, quality assurance, process analysis and optimization were as much my job field.

At AB Vista I was responsible for the project management of the stock transfer from Frankfurt to Hamburg. In this context, I also consulted and coached the team in the field S&OP, and other supply chain issues such as organizational structure, process optimization, etc.

Role: Interim Global Supply Chain Director
In this mandate, I took over the line function as Global Supply Chain Director. I also supervised the further expansion of the global supply chain in China, North and South America. My other responsibilities included consulting on SCM for a global SAP project, as well as consulting in Supply Planning in S&OP process and the implementation of process improvements. Furthermore I developed the Supply Chain Strategy and was accountable for establishing the Global Quality Management Department. In addition, I managed the project "Central Distribution Center" including tendering and implementation.

Life before and besides Interim Management
Project experience in permanent positions
Before I took the plunge into self-employment, I worked for many years in the supply chain sector with various chemical companies. Some interesting projects from
this period have particularly influenced me:
- Integration of logistics and construction of a principal structure in the supply chain during the acquisition / integration of a company
- Development of a planning concept with building prototype for Advanced Planning Optimization System (SAP APO)
- European Supply Chain Project to optimize and simplify the supply chain processes and integration of European Supply Chain. Development of the concept and detailed implementation plan
- Inventory Reduction Program
- Optimizing of European warehouse locations with outsourcing of services. Management of tendering process and implementation
Teaching at universities
The topic of supply chain fascinates me
not only on practical use but also on theoretical level. For this reason it is very important to me to pass on my experience to future managers.
As a lecturer for logistics at DHBW and the State University Basel I teach topics such as production logistics and general logistics / supply chain. This is also a good opportunity for me to be continuously up to date and pick up inspiring ideas of young minds.
